Dinner Meeting and Tour of Respironics
Speaker: Cal Eggers and Eric Kulikowski

PROGRAM:
1. Eric Kulikowski will give a brief talk on the Respironics manufacturing process, including their organization into Supply Management and Demand Management.
2. Plant tour of the assembly and packaging lines of the Respironics factory.
3. Cal Eggers will present a talk on Quality Planning.
Quality Planning is a "hidden element" in ISO 9001, falling under 4.2 Quality System. As such, it may not get enough attention by quality system implementers and auditors alike. Cal will review the requirements and guidances of current standards, the coming requirements of ISO 9001:2000, and the policies and practices of Respironics in implementing quality planning.
Presenters:
Eric Kulikowski is Plant Manager of the Respironics Murrysville plant.
Previously he was Plant Manager of the Respironics Colorado plant, Purchasing Manager iin Murrysville, and New Products Project Manager. Before joining Respironics Eric worked for Lockheed Missiles & Space as a Propulsion Engineer. He is a graduate of the University of Dayton with a BSME and Aerospace Engineering degree.
Cal Eggers has been recently promoted to Corporate Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs for Respironics. Before that he was Quality Assurance Manager for the Murrysville plant and has been with Respironics for 10 years. Before joining Respironics he worked for Westinghouse in the Semiconductor Control Center and the Process Control Division in various quality assurance, engineering management, and project management positions. He is a graduate of Valparaiso University with the BSEE and holds the MSEE from Pitt. He is a registered Professional Engineer, and an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor and ASQ Certified Quality Manager.

From the Pittsburgh area
Take I-376 East to Monroeville, exit toward Murrysville on 22 East. After two lights and about 2 miles, take the ramp to Route 286 East (ramp is to the right, and it crosses over 22, heading Northeastward)
Follow 286 for about 4 miles and through about 5 traffic lights (when you pass MacDonalds on the left, you have one more light).
After the light at Holiday Park Drive, watch for sign for the Murry Ridge industrial park on the right. Turn right just before a Lutheran Church.
After about 1/8 mile, turn left, and then right into the Respironics plant site.
Go around the building to the right and park. Visitor entrance is on the right side of the building.From Murrysville and East
Follow 22 West to the junction with 286. Turn at the light onto 286 East and proceed as above.
