TOPIC: "GET READY FOR ISO 9001:2000"

PROGRAM: 

ISO 9001:2000, issued in December 2000, will provide a major challenge for organizations to go beyond compliance and adapt continuous improvement practices. Organizations need to understand the major changes and be prepared to position their current quality systems to quickly comply with the new standard.

This presentation will focus on 3 areas of importance:

1. Major changes between 1994 and 2000 versions of the ISO 9001 standards

2. How to perform a Gap Analysis for ISO 9001:2000

3. Internal auditing requirements for ISO 9001:2000

Presenter: 

Vincent Zottola is the Manager of Field Operations of Tri-State Quality Systems and has over 20 years of experience in Quality and Environmental Systems Development, Quality Management and Operations. Mr. Zottola has successfully implemented over 100 ISO and total quality programs. He has also assisted clients with the development and implementation of ISO 14000, QS and AS9100 Management Systems. He has assisted the first incinerator facility in the U.S. to achieve ISO 14000 registration. His educational background includes a degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Industrial Relations. Mr. Zottola has written and published articles and workbooks on ISO 9000 and ISO 14000. His works have been published by CEEM, Irwin Publishing, McGraw Hill, SMC and ASQ.
